“缘分”和“命中注定”的英语翻译

在日常生活中经常会碰到“缘分”这两个字，它在英语中的表达并不固定，不同的情况会有不同的选词。请看译例：
我们俩又在一起了，真有缘分。
So we are together again. It must be fate.
我们不知道他们是否有这个姻缘。
We don't know if there is predestined marriage between them.
也许他们命中注定无缘再相见。
Maybe it was their lot that they could never meet again.
他和他心爱的姑娘擦肩而过，这真是一个遗憾，但也说明他们有缘无分。
He brushed against his beloved girl. It was really a pity, and it was their luck
当然，“缘分”也有另一层意思，如“人缘”“有无发生联系的机会”等。例如：
汤姆在同事中人缘很好。
Tom has very good relations with his colleagues
你还记得吗？我们在校园里有过一面之缘。
Do you remember we happened to meet once on campus?
烟酒跟我没有缘分。
Smoking and drinking don't appeal to me.
中文还有一个类似的表达，即“命中注定”，它在英语中也有不同的译法，如："decreed by fate" "be fated to do sth."和"predestined"等。请看译例：
他相信世间一切都是命中注定的.
He believes that everything in the world is decreed by fate.
她总认为她是命中注定该忍受这个不幸的婚姻，因而她并不想通过任何努力来摆脱它。
She always thought that she was fated to suffer from the unhappy marriage, and she never tried any means to get out of it..
看起来他俩是天生的一对，既和谐又幸福。
It seemed they were destined to be husband and wife, for around them all was harmonious and happiness existed everywhere.
